Our Goal

The NIDS Coalition continues to be integrally involved in attempts to assemble a team of highly qualified specialists aimed at engaging in research and clinical trials using detailed diagnostic tools, with a focus on clinical expediency. The goal is to diagnose patients using very specific criteria and markers, so that controlled trials of therapies and ultimately new immune modulating agents can begin.
This possibility is available NOW. Building on what already has been done could save significant time in the process of discovering and improving treatments. It is beyond comprehension why this hasn’t yet happened. To continue to ignore this issue is a crime against children who’ve had to endure unnecessary years of debilitating dysfunction and neural damage. The NIDS Coalition is doing all it can to help in the fight to raise awareness, change misdiagnoses, and find effective treatments now – not decades from now.
